HUNGARIAN BRASS
The Hungarian Brass was founded in August 2020, fulfilling our dream of having a band where we are at the centre of the action, in addition to our everyday orchestral tasks. Besides, we also created the ensemble so that we could make music and create something with people with whom we have long-standing friendships, which further strengthens the ensemble and makes it even more special.
It's true that as Hungarian Brass we have only been working together for a few years, but individually we have a number of successful competitions in Hungary and internationally, and we have almost all appeared with major orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic,Netherlands Philharmonic, Hungarian Opera Orchestra, Münchner Symphoniker, Stuttgart and Frankfurt Radio Orchestras or the orchestras of the Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Mannheim National Operas, either as auxiliary, trainee/academic or full-time.
As an ensemble, we are also reaching out to more and more people and introducing ourselves to classical music fans. Among others, we have performed at the Groningen Brass Experience brass music festival, the Valley of Arts in Kapolcs, the Zemplén Festival, and we have participated in the Chaconne Festival, part of the European Capital of Culture 2023 in Veszprém.
Our repertoire, thanks to the line-up, is very broad and covers almost all genres of music. We play almost every style of serious music, from Bach to contemporary music, and we also like to draw from lighter genres such as film music and jazz.

Our aim is clearly to bring brass music closer to the people of Hungary and abroad, to enhance the reputation of Hungarian classical music and musicians, and to entertain and have fun while doing it.
